Background of the Judiciary
The Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, 1977 vests the authority and responsibility to administer justice in the Judiciary of Tanzania. The Judiciary has its foundation on Article 107 A (1) and 107 B of the Constitution and states clearly about the Independence of the Judiciary in the United Republic of Tanzania. Now the strategic plan for Judicial Independence is focused in both form and content. Nafasi za kazi February 2019

Mandate of Judiciary
The mandate of Judiciary to perform its functions is obtained from the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania vide article 107 and its primary function is to dispense justice with equity and compassion according to laws of Tanzania.

Mission & Vision
To carry out the administration of Justice to the general public in dealing with disposal of cases effectively and efficiently. Interpreting diverse Laws and execution administrative decisions. Hearing and deciding cases filed before the courts of law.

We are looking for a Video Journalist with excellent written and spoken Swahili to join the team in Dar es Salaam.

Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Senior Digital Journalist, your role is to produce, shoot and edit material, delivering highly shareable and engaging content for our service.  You will ensure content is published according to timelines and meets the highest editorial standards at all times.  You will also be responsible for location lighting, filming, editing, post production and product delivery.

Are you the right candidate?
The successful candidate will have a full command of Swahili (written and spoken) and a good standard of English.  A journalistic background is required.  Experience of digital news gathering, original journalism, using various cameras and filing video from the field is essential; knowledge of outside broadcast techniques would be a distinct advantage.

You will have a track record of filming and editing high quality video content, with knowledge of working with Final Cut Pro and other tools and applications as required.  A full understanding of current technical issues involved in production of video content and a demonstrable interest in new media technologies is important.
