JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the position:
To facilitate WVT Dar office on issues of logistics, procurements and Vehicle operations at the office.
Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Driver activities:
Drive all WVT vehicle as planned.
Ensure that general state of the car has been checked before and after use.
Keeping vehicle clean and in good condition all the time.
Ensure all required documents are valid and safely kept, up to date tool kit, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, spare tyre.
Ensure that vehicles are serviced as planned.
Maintain log books.
Adhere to WVT vehicle policy all the time.
Prepare and timely submit vehicle reports in regards to, fuel consumption, general vehicle usage or any adverse observation of WVT vehicles etc.
Remind/advice management to matters pertaining to services and repairs of vehicles.
Logistics facilitation:

Work closely with Logistics and procurements focal Officer to follow up on processing, permits, dispatch of letter, collecting recommended/sourced quotations, statutory filling, and other logistical activities as required.

Facilitate the incoming and outgoing mails, parcel, and initiate payment with respective cost centers.

Timely coordinate office maintenance and repairs.

Staff and visitors transport facilitation:

Ensure WV visitors are timely facilitated with transport especially airport pickups according to WV standard.

Coordinate the hired vehicles and ensure staff pick are done in a timely manner.

Facilitate business trip in day by arranging routes as per received request and approval.

Ensure that the vehicle log books are dully filled and cross checked before initiating for payment.

Act as a front office desk office in the absence of the administration officer / cum receptionist.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required: Form Four with a valid class C driving license
Experience: 3 years in driving.
Preferred: Form Four with NIT Advanced Driving Certificate.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate in English and good command of Kiswahili.
Good relationship with other staff.
Other Competencies/Attributes:
Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:


The purpose of this position is to contribute to the Global Internal Audit (GIA) mission of providing WVI Board and Management independent assurance on the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of internal control, risk management and governance systems by:


Utilizing the ministry-wide risk assessment project (MWRAP) and the risk-based integrated audit (RBIA) approach to identify, assess, and provide recommendations to address the major risks that threaten the organization’s ability to achieve its goals and objectives.

Ensuring that GIA's services are rendered in accordance with the IIA Standards, GIA's Charter and WVI’s policies and procedures.

Promoting good stewardship over funding received among key stakeholders of audited entities to ensure alignment with donor and partnership objectives, expectations and requirements.


The role of the GC Auditor is primarily focused on the implementation of risk-based audits of National Offices, GC departments, Regional and Support Offices. Verification of compliance with donor requirements and regulations is also particularly important. The incumbent will also be instrumental in rolling out and streamlining GIA strategic initiatives aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of its assurance services.

This position is responsible and accountable for:

Managing the technical work of local auditors to carry out GC audits.

Coordinating technical and administrative tasks with other GIA stakeholders.

Adjusting audit procedures and tools based off of knowledge generated by the GC audit team .

Maintaining technical competency through continuous professional and individual development.

Promoting a Christ-centered internal audit environment.

Communicating high risks to managers in a timely fashion.

Performing other duties, including audits, investigations and special projects, as required by supervisor and other GIA leaders.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Leadership of Audit Engagements:

This role is about leading the processes required to plan and conduct audit engagements included in GIA’s annual audit plan, as well as special assignments and investigations. This involves:

Identify and lead the audit team (2-3 members) as they develop and implement the engagement plan for all audits (preliminary survey, MWRAP template, audit planning memo) to ensure quality audit procedures and effective engagement with business owners and key stakeholders.

Ensuring the GIA team produces all deliverables in a timely fashion, including APMs, e-binders, and final draft reports, and that findings are discussed, along with key action plans, with business owners and key stakeholders.

Maintaining positive relationships throughout entire audit process through open and effective communication while building and maintaining strong cooperation within the audit team.

Reviewing work papers of audit team members and maximizing resources to ensure that all work performed by the GC audit team meets quality standards of GIA and capitalizes on opportunities for efficiency.


Process Improvement & Simplification

This position identify and be a change agent for improving processes and simplifying operations through the following:

Developing a keen understanding of costumer needs, including key goals, risks, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of each audit engagement.

Creating a culture of iterative improvement, where each team member is empowered to identify and provide feedback on improvement or adjustment within GIA’s standards or procedures.

Identifying trends through analysis of recurring audit issues to be highlighted to the partnership leaders and process owners.

Suggest to the GIA manager and to other GIA leaders to address identified weaknesses in GIA procedures, tools and services, to make the process simple and effective.


Professional Development & Quality Assurance

The GC Auditor will ensure that the audit team maintains professional proficiency while assisting the GIA leadership with special tasks:

Performing audits and investigations assigned by GIA leaders, including consulting engagements or specialized reviews, and providing assistance to external auditors whenever needed.

Providing continuous feedback to local auditors after each engagement based on review of performance, ensuring that each team member has adequate opportunity for individual and professional development.

Monitoring to ensure compliance with IIA standards for Continued Professional Education (CPE) hours.

Promoting a Christ-centered internal audit environment by ensuring that significant team building and spiritual development activities are shared by the audit team.

Keeping the GIA manager and the director abreast of all significant findings as they arise in the field, particularly on issues of suspected fraud and/or potential significant reputational impact to the Partnership.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:


Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field.

Fluency in English, solid verbal and written communication skills.

The role of the GC Associate Director is focused on the implementation of risk-based integrated audits of Global Center departments and Support Offices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:

The primary role of this position is to provide strategic leadership to the GIA audit team, while engaging with necessary stakeholders to ensure outcomes are met effectively. This will include the following:

Building strong relationships while serving as a trusted strategic partner to key stakeholders, including the CAE, SOs, regional leadership (RLs and SDOs), and by providing guidance on the implementation of strategy, governance and internal controls.

Creating effective linkages, collaborative relationships, and dynamic networks with Support Office colleagues, WVI partners, and partnership leaders to represent and promote GIA department’s services.

Providing leadership in the form of technical and administrative support to the GIA team as they develop and discuss the engagement plan (preliminary survey, MWRAP template, audit planning memo) with business owners and key stakeholders.

Operational Risk Management & Quality Assurance:

This role will monitor key departmental risks while working to ensure performance outcomes are achieved by doing the following:

Working closely with the GC Audit Director to develop an annual risk-based GC Audit Plan, and coordinating the dissemination and revision of the audit plan, as well as proper allocation of resources, with all necessary stakeholders.

Lead the roll-out of the audit system Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) throughout the Partnership to be used by auditors and business users to achieve effectiveness and efficiency.

Keeping the Director of GC Audit abreast of all significant findings as they arise in the field, particularly on issues of suspected fraud and/or potential significant reputational impact to the Partnership.

Managing the technical work of GC and local auditors involved in GC Audits, ensuring that the planned engagement is implemented appropriately and that all documentation and procedures are completed in a timely fashion and meet GIA quality standards.

Developing the Terms of Reference for all local auditors who are seconded to GC audit to perform specific assignments while remotely supervising field engagements.

Talent and Knowledge Management & Capacity Building:

The Associate Director will be active in the recruitment, coordination, and supervision of the audit team responsible for each engagement, as well as through the development of structured knowledge management practices, in the following ways:

Supporting the GC Audit Director in developing/updating job descriptions as well as in identifying the best candidates to be hired as new GC auditors.

Supporting the GC Audit Director at identifying the best course of action to follow in case of a team member whose performance falls consistently below expectations or whose behavior becomes inconsistent with the WVI and the IIA standards and Codes of Conduct.

Authorizing/Approving a variety of transactions for supervised staff including Performance Agreements, trip itineraries, expense reports, vacation requests, telecommuting agreements, etc., to ensure appropriate guidelines are followed.

Managing the knowledge generated by the GC audit team and adjusting audit procedures and tools accordingly through a sustained effort to understand customer needs, goals, and expectations.

Cultivating a workplace environment that motivates team members to provide feedback on weaknesses or areas for improvement, and creates a Christ-centered audit environment that reinforces spiritual development throughout the team.

Managing the professional and individual development of GC auditors by providing feedback after each audit engagement and ensuring adequate training/coaching opportunities exist for continual improvement.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:


The Strategic Change Director role is responsible for managing the Strategic Change, Communications and Training function for WV IT. This function supports the Global CIO and Senior Directors in the implementation of WV IT strategic change initiatives that support the achievement of organization goals. This role manages strategic change, communication and training support across all the WV IT functional areas and across multiple regions. It plays an integral part in the implementation of the WV IT Target Operating Model within WV IT and in the expansion of the WV IT Target Operating Model to National Office ICT staff.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Business and IT Strategy:

Develops the tactical components and strategies to achieve goals and works with GICT Senior Directors and Managers to facilitate the development of strategies to achieve goals.

Works with business partners to understand business needs.
