Introduction
ADD International is a UK based disability rights organization. We work for independence, equality and opportunity for disabled people living in poverty in Africa and Asia, by supporting disability activists to bring about social change. ADD International in Tanzania works in partnership with the Tanzania Federation of Disabled people's Organization (SHIVYAWATA), national disabled people's organization (DPOs), and with regional SHIVYAWATA branches in six regions, namely Mwanza, Shinyanga, Tabora, Coast, Lindi and Mtwara.

ADD International is seeking to hire self-motivated and well experiences Consultants to conduct various researches as follows;

Programme: Gender Based Violence (GBV)

Location: Pwani Region (Kibaha Urban and Mkuranga rural)

Submission Deadline: 05 April 2017

Starting Date: April

Duration of Contract: 10 days

Related skills and qualifications requirement:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in gender studies, law and development, social science and other field related.
  • At least 5 years of progressive responsible experience in gender and legal affairs ideally with experience on GBV related programmes and disability issues. 
  • Proven understanding of gender based violence legal and human rights.
  • Experience on in participatory approach.

Programme: Moelling Inclusive Pre-primary Education (MIPE)

Location: Pwani Region

Submission Deadline: 05 April 2017

Starting date: April 2017

Duration of Contract: 25 days to conduct baseline study

Related skills and qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in social science, project management, monitoring and evaluation, development studies.
  • Broad experience of more than 5 years in baseline survey fieldwork researches (data collection, validation, entry and analysis)
  • Eligibility to work in Tanzania
  • Fluent in English and Swahili with excellent oral, written and presenting skills.

Programme: Modelling Inclusive Education (MIE)

Location: Pwani Region

Submission Deadline: 05 April 2017

Starting Date: June 2017

Duration of Contract: 25 days to conduct Resource based funding model research

Related skills and qualifications:

  • Master's degree in education planning, social science, development studies. 
  • Substantial prior experience in conducting research of this nature.
  • Wider understanding of social and rights based approaches to disability, with a focus on barriers and the enabling environment.
  • Proven project work at national, regional, and local levels.
  • Highly communication skills, including the preparation of high quality reports and the delivery of presentations.
  • Fluency in oral and particularly written English. 
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to gender and disability issues.
  • A substantial experience of working with people with disabilities.
