New Habari (2006) limited publishers of the leading Tanzania newspapers, Mtanzania, Rai,Bingwa,
Dimba and The National Business Directory are looking for motivated and highly experienced
individuals to fill the positions of Freelance Sales Executive - 30 Posts.
Work Station: Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, Mbeya, Morogoro, Dodoma, lringa,
Tanga, Moshi, Mtwara and Zanzibar.

DESCRIPTION
Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Freelance Sates Executive position is to meet and exceed sales objectives in the
assigned territory by promoting and selling advertising space in The National Business Directory to
qualified advertisers. The Freelance Sales Executive is expected to use professional sales techniques,
build relationships, and develop long tenn advertising relationships that grow The National Business
Directory advertising sales.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Major Activities:
Target and identify potential advertising clients within their assigned territory/account
list, and convince the clients on the value and benefits of advertising in The National
Business Directory and open new accounts, Increase New Habari's market share Sell all
products -NBD , Mtanzania, Rai, Bingwa and Dimba (where applicable)
Prepare written presentations, reports and proposals, become an active team member of
New Habari and the advertising community.
Keep abreast of competition - particularly newspaper, radio, TV, cable and Directories
and other advertising magazines
Follow-up on all client production orders and insure campaigns begin and end as the
client requested. If any problems exist, He/she will communicate immediately with the ·
client and manager to find a solution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to make oral presentations to provide information or explain policies and
procedures.
Working knowledge of general sales techniques and Skill in selling advertising space.
Skill in speaking with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational
backgrounds.
Ability to perform effectively under fluctuating workloads.
Skill in establish rapport and gaining the trust of others and ability to establish and
maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to meet sales quotaffargets.
Ability to be intrinsically motivated to succeed and withstand rejection/objections.
Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal
direction.
Remuneration:

Qualifications and Experience:
Academic: Basic University Degree in Business Administration/Marketing
Professional: Diploma in Sales & Marketing
Previous sales experience will be an advantage.
