Skills, qualifications and experience required

Skills, qualifications and experience required

Essential Technical:
Demonstrable Experience of managing an end to end recruitment process across a country, managing and filling vacancies appropriately.
Experience of working with recruitment systems and ability to produce progress reports on a regular basis.
Relationship management: Experience of working with colleagues located dispersedly, able to build strong working relationships, gaining trust and mutual respect; being flexible, responding to perspectives and being assertive when appropriate.
Experience of working with external recruitment suppliers and other people external to the organisation.
Experience of cross-cultural working and an understanding of issues of diversity.

Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Articulate, persuasive and concise.

Budget management:
Experience of managing a budget and making cost savings.

Customer orientation:
Customer focus mind-set, understanding and experience of importance of listening to, understanding and meeting the needs of customers.

Information Technology:
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft and finance packages.
Attention to detail: strong attention to detail, ensuring work is correct and able to quality
check work of others.
Desirable: Experience of working in a virtual team.
Experience gained within a volunteering/Non Governmental Organisation context.

Role overview

The Finance Management Advisor will work as part of the Tanzania Local Economic Development project which aims to increase the benefit to local communities in Tanzania of investment in the mining industry.
The Finance Management Advisor will work with the Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO), Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) and Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce (TWCC), to coach and mentor local companies in the mining supply chain to improve their financial management capacity and their ability to access financing, win contracts, budget and report financially.

The Financial Management Advisor will also coach SIDO, TCCIA and TWCC staff providing business support services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve the quality of financial management support. Ultimately the role will contribute to local companies winning more contracts and employing more people and therefore ensuring a greater proportion of mining investment benefits local people.

Skills, qualifications and experience required

A bachelor degree holder in Finance or related subject
Fully qualified accountant
Experience in developing financial management systems
Able to formulate and implement financial regulations, policies and procedures.
Good experience in establishing and supporting organization development
Facilitation and training skills
Strong understanding of business ethics
Fluency in English
