DREAMS Coordinator- To be based in Mbeya

Title: DREAMS Coordinator

Reporting to: Zonal Manager

The DREAMS Coordinator position is crucial to the success of OVC adolescent girls interventions under the DREAMS Initiatives.
The DREAMS Coordinator will work closely with Pact Pamoja Tuwalee team to contribute to Program Objectives and approaches and ensure the same is well communicated to other program Practitioners Including Community leaders, Most Vulnerable Committee members and Volunteers. The position requires a high degree of Integrity, professionalism, flexibility and perseverance, as well as the ability to anticipate, identify and resolve problems in the field.

Facilitate enrolment and retention of OVC adolescent girls (10-14 years old) in school, with specific emphasis on girls that are in Standard 6 and 7 and who are at risk of dropping out as well as those who are recent dropout and eligible for re-enrolment in targeted districts in Mbeya region.
Ensure effective and efficacy School Block Grants administration to schools in high HIV burden wards to support adolescent girls in targeted districts in Mbeya region.
Ensure strengthened capacity of Parent-Teacher Associations to monitor enrolment and retention of these OVC adolescent girls In school and support them to obtain services when needed.
Collaborate with the HURU program (implemented by Peace Corp Tanzania and Huru International) in providing sexual and reproductive health education programmlng for school going
OVC girls aged 10-14 years old and provide hygiene and sanitation kits.
Provide technical assistance to ensure parenting and care giving interventions to target OVC's parents and adolescent girls10-19 years old.
Participate in supporting to gather and analyzes data for project monitoring and evaluation as stipulated in the M&E plans; compiles program information for quarterly progress reports
Conducts frequent field visits as part of backstopping to
Partners so that they implement the program as per program plans
Collaborates with LGAs and technical partners in the city/district towards Integration of the various OVC adolescent girls related aspects like WORTH, Child Protection /GBV and HIV/AIDS prevention to make sure that are all inclusive to the DREAMS Initiative
Other duties as assigned by the Zonal Manager – Southern Highland Zone relevant to Pamoja Tuwalee and DREAMS Initiative program objectives.

Bachelors or higher education in field(s) relevant to fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities as described above.

Energetic team player who enjoys working with community structures and members
At least three years of progressively responsible experience as a program development professional, with preference for candidates whose experience includes working with NGOs and Faith Based Organizations.
Preference for candidates that have been employed thus involved in donor funded development programs.
Social Work, Education systems in Tanzania, HIV and AIDS programming experience are plus

Creative thinker
Ability to work with team members, stakeholders and community members of national communities
Demonstrated understanding of challenges facing fJVC adolescent girls and their coping mechanism in HIV Impacted areas
Demonstrated understanding of the spectrum of OVC/MVC services and challenges faced in delivery of services in poor areas
Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
Strong computer (word processing) literacy skills.

Strong Language capability in both Kiswahili and English
