NJOMBE URBAN WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION AUTHORITY
JOB VACANCIES
NJUWASA is an expanding autonomous entity which is responsible for supplying clean water and sanitation services for Njombe Township.
The Authority is looking for competent, Dynamic, Energetic, Committed, Experienced and qualified Tanzanians who are capable of embracing and driving changes in NJUWASA to fill the following vacant posts:

Position: Procurement and Supplies officer (1 post)
Reports to: Managing Director
Required Qualifications and Experiences
• The applicant must be a Tanzanian with Advance Diploma/Degree in Materials Management or Procurement and supplies management or procurement and logistics management.
• A candidate must be registered with the PSPTB.
• Working experience of at least three years in a relevant field is necessary.
• Knowledge and competence in any inventory management computer package is an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Recommends to the Head of section on standards and procedures for the acquisition, storage and issuance of supplies and services require for the proper operations and maintenance of the urban water supply and Sanitation systems.
• Completes with the Authority`s tendering and ordering procedures for supplies and services as provided in the Public Procurement Act of 2011.
• Establishes, evaluates, and maintains reliable primary and secondary supplies to ensure continuity of the authority`s operations.
• Makes effective follow up of procurement activities to ensure timely deliveries of supplies and takes appropriate corrective measures to address delays.
• Review and up-dates requirements of authority`s Departments and Sections; and ensures that supplies and services required are obtained in time at a cost effective rate;
• Monitors all available information on trends of supplies and makes appropriate recommendations to the head of unit for actions.
• Works with Heads of Departments and Sections to identify salvageable usable supplies and disposable and salvageable items for actions by the Board of Survery.
• Prepares purchase tender documents and invites tenders from potential supplies; processes tender bids/documents through an Authority`s Tender Board: informs successful bidders; and ensures that goods are delivered/received in accordance with the terms specified in the tender documents.
• Prepares annual procurement plans and budgets by estimating and forecasting consumptions of materials and services in terms of volume and value and ensures adherence to established of supplies usage.
• Enforcing implementation and control of procurement and budget.
• Ensures that proper record keeping system is maintained at all times.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Unit

Position: Credit Control Officer (1 Post)

Reporting to: Customer Service and Sales Manager
Required Qualifications and Experiences
• The applicant must be a Tanzanian with Advance Diploma/Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Accounts/Finance or Marketing from a recognized institution.
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance with experience in credit collections duties from water utilities and computer Knowledge and working experience in similar position in a reputable business organization will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Credit Officer is responsible for credits control activities under customer service manager of NJUWASA, the following are the duties and responsibilities that should be performed by Credit Officer:
• Manages the outstanding water and Sanitation service sales balance falling due and contacts customers before the balances become overdue for payments.
• Sets and monitors credit limits.
• Initiates proceedings to ensure outstanding debtors are brought to a satisfactory conclusion sometimes in liaison with a legal expert.
• Review the company credit control procedures and develops and implements enhancements where required.
• Keeps the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques.
• Ensures that there is a proper maintenance of customers accounts and the collection of Authority`s revenue is done fairly with no or minimum complaintws from customers and the general public.
• Make sure that all outstanding revenues are collected within the possible allowable period of time.
• Ensure that monthly analysis of outstanding debts are prepared and classified by age/customer analysis.
• Ensures that all illegal connections are taken into action without delay.
• To sign all contacts with customers whom they want to pay by installments.
• To prepare a list of customers with huge credits who are to be disconnected from the service.
• To perform any other duties that you will be assigned by your superior.

Position: Customer Service and Sales Officer II (1 Post)

Reports to: Customer Service and Sales Manager
Required Qualifications and Experiences
• The applicant must be a Tanzanian with an Ordinary Diploma in Business Administration with specialization in Marketing/Accounting and finance.
• Computer studies from a recognized institution and working experience in similar position in a reputable business organization will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The customer’s service and sales officer reports to the customer service and sales manager.
• She/he is responsible for customer records and billing, Credit control and customer care activities of the Authority.
• Ensures that all customers’ complaints are properly received and dealt with diligently.
• Ensures distribution of publications and brochures bearing authority`s business information.
• Ensures that services consumption i.e. water and Sanitation and the billing system to customers is done correctly and promptly.
• Makes sure that all outstanding revenues are collected within the possible allowable period of time.
• Ensures that monthly analysis of outstanding debts are prepared and classified by age/customer analysis.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the customer services and sales manager.

Remuneration

Remuneration is in accordance with NJUWASA salary structure and incentive packages
